Celebrate the Holidays Around a Palm Tree?

Published by wind at 6:59 pm under The Green Scene Edit This

While considering the purchase of your holiday tree this year, why not consider spending the same amount of money on buying a tree that it is potted from your local nursery.

You will not only be supporting your local community, but when the holidays are over, you can plant the tree on your property to serve as shelter for the wildlife. It’s important to remember to only keep your tree inside for no longer than a week as it will grow accustom to the inside temperature.

Living in Florida makes it difficult to purchase a traditional Evergreen Pine that is already potted, so I usually buy a tree that is native to Florida. I have celebrated the holidays around a palm tree, a grapefruit tree and even an orange tree, complete with orange blossoms!

Thanks for following Alena! I enjoy writing this blog, as well! It gives me a place to share my ideas in hopes I can reach others to help save the only planet we’ve got to leave our children!
